As I have several medical cannabis strains here to taste, evaluate and then write about. I'm going to tackle this task one strain at a time.
Today's prop 215 medicinal cannabis strain review is for the organically grown, clean green certified AK sweet tooth and it was outstanding. A very heavy smelling med, with a slight musky cheese scent and a touch of sourness thrown in. The scent strength was absolutely off the charts. As to the overall effect on mood, it provided an elevated frame of mind that did not leave one's mind racing, but rather makes one relaxed in the mind and body. I would call it more of a social med. All in all a smooth smoke that tastes like an herb that is natural, organic and full flavored.
Have a great weekend.

City Of Monterey May Allow Medical Marijuana Collective
The City of Monterey may be the first on the Monterey Peninsula to allow a medicinal cannabis collective / medical marijuana dispensary to operate openly.
All this while the city sued MyCaregiver and Carr-Nshimba in February 2010, arguing the operation violated the city's zoning laws because it does not specifically accommodate medical marijuana facilities.
Attorney Richard Rosen, who represents MyCaregiver co-founder Jhonrico Carr-Nshimba, said the city brought the contempt action "based on small technicalities about zoning and business licenses. It is completely ignoring the big issue, which is why is it legal everywhere else in California except Monterey?"
Rosen contends MyCaregiver qualifies as a nonprofit, medical marijuana cooperative and thus does not require a business license. An appeal of Villarreal's ruling is pending.
... "How does the city get away with ignoring the law that applies to everyone else in California?" Rosen said.

San Bernardino County Planning Commission Feb. 3, 2011
Just one week before the San Bernardino County Planning Commission (SBCPC) hearing (Feb. 3) and almost two years since a medical marijuana collective moratorium was put in place, San Bernardino County has released their proposed ordinance.
Apparently dissatisfied with just undermining state law, SBCPC has decided that a total ban on medical marijuana collectives was the more prudent way to go. The ordinance also bans all outdoor grows and makes any private patient indoor grow of more than two patients illegal. Such an over the top and illegal ordinance is really not that surprising for a county that prides itself on being the most fraudulent and mean spirited in all of California.
Funny thing is… the ordinance was submitted by a Josie Gonzales, the San Bernardino County Supervisor who at the Board meeting, following San Bernardino County's loss of their lawsuit to have Prop. 215 ruled unconstitutional, stood up declaring she was in support of medical marijuana and patient's rights with a tearful and poignant narrative of how her aunt used medical marijuana to treat her tender body after working in the fields on her hands and knees all day.
The hearing before the San Bernardino County Planning Commission will be this Thursday, Feb. 3 beginning at 9 a.m. I think they are expecting a lot of us to attend as the meeting is being held in the County Council chambers. Let's not disappoint them.
We will meet and rally at 8:30 a.m. With impassioned speeches from patients and activists we will be primed and enthused as we enter the Council Chambers at 9 a.m. to engage the Planning Commission with our eloquence and passion. Please plan now to join patients, advocates and supporters at the San Bernardino County Government Center building at 385 N. Arrowhead Ave., in downtown San Bernardino 92415.
It is also important that written communication be sent in as well as personal phone contact made. It just so happens that the regular monthly MAPP meeting in Riverside is the evening before the SB Co. Planning Commission hearing. Final preparations for the rally and participation in the Planning Commission hearing will be made at the meeting.
Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. - MAPP meeting to prepare for rally at Planning Commission hearing - THCF Medical Clinic, 647 Main St., Riverside 92501. The meeting will start promptly at 7: 30 a.m. and end promptly at 9 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and if you would like to bring a non-medicated treat or two, that would be much appreciated.

Monterey Bud on Hansen Organics Tinctures
Good Tuesday Morning 420 world... What a great night’s sleep, which is fairly unusual for me. I have been conversing with Holly at Hansen Organics for the last couple of weeks; we meet on Facebook and had been discussing medical marijuana and the different applications that were available.
Through this conversation I had mentioned that I use tinctures during the day at work as a way of medicating without the scrutiny. Holly was kind enough to send me some samples to try (after they were able to verify my medical marijuana recommendation).
Have a question? Contact Holly @ Hansen Organics also on Facebook.

Countless medical marijuana patients are in high spirits to learn of cannabis tinctures. A tincture is an alcohol-based liquid mixture. It is like a concentrated extract. At present there are tinctures of cannabis made with alcohol, oil or glycerin. It is a very effective way to medicate. Drops of the tincture are placed under the tongue (sublingually) and the medication passes through the blood vessels and enters the bloodstream. You will feel the onset of effects in about 5 – 15 minutes with the peak effect at about 30 minutes after taking the medication. For many patients, the effects are similar to inhaled cannabis.
The benefits of using a tincture of cannabis:
* no irritating smoke
* it is fast-acting
* no equipment except the bottle and the eyedropper
* no smell
* can be used discreetly.

With all of the Ca. Marijuana Smokers... Why Did P 19 Fail?
With all of the love that surrounds the medical marijuana community, how did Prop 19 fail to pass in California. While the proponents of Prop 19 tried to mislead the California voters into voting for a title and summary, the voters proved that the details of an initiative does matter. Proponents said Prop 19 would tax, regulate and control marijuana, when in fact those claims turned out to be less than accurate. As Harvard lecturer and CATO Institute senior fellow Jeffrey Miron pointed out. "The budgetary benefits, while not insignificant, would have been small compared with California's fiscal mess. As for the Mexican drug violence it seems to be mainly associated with the cocaine and metha mphetamine trades, as well as from marijuana traffic to other states."

Big Sur Chumba Cheese: Dank Cheese Please!
Oh My God!!!! This shit is the bomb. Organically Grown Indica, Sativa cross that was produced by some of the most skilled Medical Marinuana growers on the Central Coast. Big Sur has a long history as one of the states finest producers of top grade cannabis. Here is a little taste of what you will be able to find in your Southern Ca. MMJ collectives soon. As with everything they do... They will release no medications until they have hit there height of flavor from a curing stand point.
Something that is greatly lacking in most MMJ Med's on the shelves today, rushed to the MMJ collectives for the sake of quick cash, but at the expense of taste.
